While on pilgrimage at World Youth Day in 2016, Verso founder John Paul Lichon stood in a sea of young adults listening to Pope Francis deliver his address. Pope Francis spoke of the pitfalls, the difficulties, and the inevitability of failure when living a life following Jesus. He said this line that wove its way into John Paul’s heart, “The goal of climbing a mountain is not to never fall, it’s to not remain fallen.”

The pandemic brought about hardships and pitfalls for our ministry to navigate, but Verso is continuing to answer God’s call to lead others to Christ through pilgrimage.
