This handcrafted journey invites you into a prayerful, authentic, and joyful encounter with the love of Christ in the Eternal City. Visit the Legionaries House in Rome, enter through the Holy Doors, and witness the unique history and sanctity of Rome and Assisi.

Fr. Jeremy Lambert, LC

Fr. Jeremy Lambert, a native of Atlanta, was ordained a priest for the Legionaries of Christ in 2012 in Rome, Italy. Seminary studies brought him from Connecticut to Quebec and then to Rome where he obtained a master’s in philosophy and a bachelors in theology. Lover of all things outdoors and sports, he’d prefer spending time in the mountains than behind a desk. Fr Jeremy served for three years as director of youth activities at Our Lady of Bethesda retreat center in Washington DC. He currently serves as an associate pastor at St Catherine of Siena and supports several young adult ministries in the New Orleans area.

Lauren Lagarde

Lauren Lagarde and her husband Mel, both native New Orleanians, have been married for 45 years. They have three children and four grandchildren. As a lay member of Regnum Christi for 28 years, she has served in several leadership roles. Recently, she studied at Notre Dame Seminary and received a master’s degree in Pastoral Leadership. Also, through the Divine Mercy University program, she is a certified spiritual director. In working with young adults, she enjoys her role of mentor, accompanying them on their life journey. She delights in helping them deepen their relationship with God.

Maria Knuth

Maria Knuth is a Consecrated Woman of Regnum Christi who has been consecrated for 24 years. She is originally from Minnesota but has served all over the United States. She has a masters in religious and pastoral studies and has recently worked on certifications in the areas of human resource management and non-profit management. Currently she is a member of the New Orleans community of Consecrated Women and serves as project manager for Regnum Christi nationally and is involved in the formation and accompaniment of women, young adults and adolescents in the greater New Orleans area. She passionately loves Jesus and helping others to know and love him and is excited about going to Rome for something other than “meetings.”

Payment Schedule and Cancellation Policy

Required $250 down payment
Payments can be made all at once or in regular instalments
Final payment due Feb. 28^th, 2025

Final package price is estimated. Pricing is based on currency exchange rates as of May 2024. Any drastic fluctuations in currency exchange rates could affect the final pilgrimage pricing. If you have any questions about pricing and when final pricing decisions will be communicated, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations of individual pilgrims must be made in writing (email or letter) to Maria Knuth. Cancellations are possible at any time, but refunds are subject to cancellation fees at the rates listed here. Cancellation fees are for individual pilgrims. We highly recommend the purchase of individual travel insurance.

Within 2 weeks of downpayment – free cancellation (to qualify for free cancellation within two weeks of deposit, deposit must be made 180 days prior to departure – before Nov. 28, 2024)
14 days after deposit and 91 days or more from departure – (Feb. 28, 2025) – deposit is retained
90 to 61 days prior to trip – 25% of trip cost is non-refundable (Feb. 28-Mar. 28, 2025)
60 to 31 days prior to departure – 50% of trip cost is non-refundable (Mar. 28-April 28, 2025)
After April 28, 2025 – 100% of trip cost is non-refundable

How does Verso Ministries prepare me for my journey?

We know from experience that preparing for a journey is just as important as the journey itself. From pre-departure spiritual formation emails and webinars hosted by the Verso trip leader, to providing you with a pilgrim kit to bring with you on your journey, we accompany you through the entire process – before, during, and after the pilgrimage – to prepare your mind and heart for what you’ll encounter. And of course, we’re always available by phone or email to answer and assist with any questions you might have.

What is the latest I can register?

Registration closes when the pilgrimage reaches the maximum number of pilgrims. If the pilgrimage is filled when you register, you will be added to our waiting list, and contacted in the event that space on the pilgrimage becomes available. Don’t miss your chance – register now and begin your journey!

Should I purchase travel protection?

We recommend that all pilgrims consider purchasing travel protection. We partner with Travel Insured International (TII) to offer travel protection. According to TII, travel protection helps protect you and those you are traveling with from unforeseen emergencies, which always seem to happen at the worst possible time. In the event of emergencies, both before and during your travels, as well other circumstances, like travel delay, lost baggage, missed connection(s), and much more, travel protection can help. Upon registration you will receive a travel protection quotation from TII. If you have any questions regarding your quotation, please call TII.
