Verso Celebrates Four Years

Verso turned four! Read about our month-long celebration, watch the highlight video, and discover stories from Verso pilgrims.

October 2020 marked Verso’s fourth anniversary — four years of faith, growth, travel, and adventure. And we’re more excited than ever to continue this ministry for years to come. If you haven’t already, check out our “Four Years of Pilgrimage” highlight video.

We couldn’t have done it without all of the pilgrims we are so grateful to have led on these journeys. To say thanks, and have a bit of anniversary fun, we celebrated by sharing photos and stories from past pilgrims, hosting a couple of Zoom pilgrim reunions, and giving away prizes — including a free pilgrimage!

Grateful

We were blown away by all the photos and sentiments shared. It reminded us of the many ways God has worked in peoples’ lives through pilgrimage. If you haven’t already, check out the photos from past pilgrims shared on Facebook and Instagram

Similarly, we were so grateful to reunite and reminisce with past pilgrims via Zoom. Hosted on October 20 and 22, each reunion event had about 30 people attend. We opened the meetings with prayer, heard lovely reflections from pilgrims Shannon Turlik and Yen Fasano, John Paul Lichon provided a reflection on the last four years since the founding of Verso, and pilgrims were given time to connect in small groups.

Over on our Facebook page, we posted a new question each week in October and invited friends and followers to comment in order to be entered to win the weekly prize pack. Each prize pack included five fun prizes which varied each week. Of course we gave out some Verso merch but also included prizes from some of our friends such as Sock Religious, Hallow, Amanda Vernon, and Small Things Great Love, LLC

The Winners

Here are the winners of the weekly Facebook giveaways:

Week 1: Greg Hamilton

Week 2: JP Gumataotao

Week 3: Sara Spittler

Week 4: Jessica Rosier

Our grand prize for the month was a FREE pilgrimage with Verso – a $4,000 value!

Anyone who participated in our weekly Facebook giveaways automatically received one entry. Five bonus entries were also up for grabs on our website by filling out a simple name/email form. And finally, anyone who submitted two photos from their time on pilgrimage with us received five additional entries! On October 31, we drew one name out of over 1,500 total entries collected.

The WINNER was Andrew Torrella! Needless to say, he’s thrilled to be able to go on pilgrimage with Verso, and we can’t wait either!

Looking Ahead

The last four years have been nothing short of incredible, and we can’t wait to see what the next four years brings. We continue to be excited to help pilgrims explore the sacred and discover what God has in store for them.
