Israel Reopens for Group Tourism

Verso Ministries is looking forward to international pilgrimage again, and we have news that Israel is reopening for group tourism! Here are the details.

We’re very excited to announce that as of September 19, 2021, Israel will reopen its borders to group travel (5 or more people), with some added requirements in place:

  • All visitors must be fully vaccinated and come from a designated “Covid-green” country, which currently includes the United States. Proof of vaccination (including proof of a booster shot if your vaccination date was more than 6 months ago) must be provided.
  • All visitors must have a PCR test prior to departure from the U.S.
  • Upon arrival in Israel, all visitors must have another PCR test and a serology test.
  • Tours must be booked with an official tour company and receive permission from the Ministry of Travel–something that Verso coordinates with our travel partners in Israel.

We’re very encouraged by this news and the chance to share the beauty of the Holy Land with you once again, and we don’t take the blessing of this reopening lightly. Being able to walk in the footsteps of Jesus is such an incredible way to grow your faith, and we’re excited to go on pilgrimage there once again. If you have any questions about these restrictions and how to work with them, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We are working closely with our partners in Israel to ensure your travel is as safe and as streamlined as possible.
